Mother's Day Tea Party!

Our Mother's Day tea party was a huge success! Thank you all for coming and celebrating with us! Every single child had someone here with them! That is amazing! Here are all of the pictures I captured from this great day! 

We started with our Mommy song we have been practicing!

We decorated a tea pot at one of the craft stations

And watercolors were at the other

The snack station was a big hit!

Together time was fun. We interviewed our moms and read together.

Oregon Coast Aquarium Assembly

We had our Oregon Coast Aquarium assembly this morning. It was so much fun! We learned about seals and sea lions and how to tell them apart! 

We were excited to start!

Then we danced the Seal Shimmy! 

They had a discovery table set up for us to see and touch seal and sea lion skulls and pelts! It was awesome! 

What a great assembly! Thank you PTA for sponsoring such a great activity!

Planting Update: We have sprouts!

I just noticed this afternoon as I was watering our plants, that we have some plants that are sprouting!!

Our beans have also begun to sprout. The pole beans seem to have sprouted the quickest! 

Last Food Adventure Lesson!

We had our last food adventure lesson with Ms. Clara today. We learned that we eat all of the different plant parts. We eat roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds. 

We then learned a song to remember these parts. Does your child remember it?

Then we made our very own plant part wrap. We had a leaf wrap (lettuce) and filled it with stems (celery), roots (carrots), flowers (broccolini), fruit (red bell pepper), and seeds (sunflower seeds). We even got a side of ranch! Every kid ate some, if not all of their wrap! It was so cool for me to hear that the kids wanted to make these at home! Maybe this week your child can show you how to make one!
