Planting!

We began our seed investigation on Thursday and planted our seeds on Friday! We are going to investigate many things about seeds and plants. We generated a long list of questions that we want answers to. We will hopefully be able to answer all of these questions by the end of our unit!

We are going to grow seven kids of plants in our classroom! We each got to pick a kind of bean to grow in our window. We had the choice to grow:

French Fillet Beans,

Lima Beans,

Or Scarlet Runner Beans.

We then got to go outside to begin planting our other four seeds in cups. Each table group got a different seed. We began by getting our soil.

Then we came inside and looked around at all of the different seeds to be planted.

The next step was to plant the seeds! We each put 3 seeds in our cups. Does your child remember which seeds they planted?

Corn

Pumpkins

Sunflowers

Nasturtiams

Now we must water!

We have given our seeds everything we know they need: soil, water, air, and sun! Grow, seeds, grow!
