Pumpkin Patch

We were so excited to go to Airlie Hills pumpkin patch this morning.

Kylie, Melanie, and Easton were anxiously awaiting our arrival to the pumpkin patch!

Zak was ready to go!

We saw an adorable calf!

And some silly goats!

And a real turkey!

Addisyn checks out the chickens.

Halle and Zak had a great time looking at the animals.

The slide was a huge hit!

Reece zooms down the slide!

After sliding, some decided to check out the grain pit.

Class picture at the pumpkin patch!

The outside hay slide was even taller!

Ahren takes a turn zooming down the fun slide.

Olivia races around the track.

Many kids loved running through this fun hay maze!

Art With Mrs. Haag

In art class, we have spent the last two sessions making pumpkins. We started by learning about the primary colors. We learned that when we mix red and yellow we get orange. We didn't need orange paint to make pumpkins, we just needed red and yellow!

After drawing our pumpkins, Addisyn paints her pumpkin witty yellow water colors.

Ben adds his red on top of his yellow to make it turn orange!

Today, we finished our pumpkins by adding a background. Mrs. Haag showed us that light dissipates as it goes out. We needed to do this when we added our moons to the background with a white pastel.

Come see your child's finished product at conferences!

Rip Art Pumpkins

We made pumpkins for our bulletin board. We ripped the paper to make them look really cool.

The artists are hard at work!

Counting to 100

By the end of the year, your child should be able to count to 100. We practice this in class very often. We have two fun YouTube videos that we love and they help us count!

Here are some pictures of us as we count!

We Filled The Coin Jar

In our class, when someone is caught doing something awesome, we earn coins. Kids can earn coins for following directions quickly, being a good friend, helping someone, and making smart choices. I felt the coin jar this morning and it was full! We took a vote and we decided that we wanted to have a stuffed animal day at school on Friday!

Way to go kindergartners!

Setting Goals

In our assembly last week, we learned about setting goals. Mrs. Beyer's nephew showed his talent of riding a unicycle. He told us that this was his goal and it took a lot of effort to get there, but he worked hard and now he can ride his unicycle!

We are setting our own goals in kindergarten! You will see your child's during their conference.

"I will learn to read."

"I will learn to be a dancer."

"I will learn to ride a horse."
