We are continuing to become writers every day! I cannot express how impressed I was with our class today during writers workshop. Almost every child drew a picture and then labeled the parts of their picture. We focused today on sounding out the words we want to spell and writing a letter for all of the sounds we hear. If that means that a student writes the letter 'c' for the word cape, I am thrilled! They are learning to become independent spellers.
Noah was in the first stages of his writing. Drawing a picture helps get all of his ideas on paper.
Nicholas was working hard on his drawing.
Alana is hard at work drawing a picture with lots of details.
Aarion loves to write! He fills his pages with lots of letters and words!
Luke labeled the colors 'blue' and 'red' and knew how to spell them! Our hard work during our color weeks has paid off!
