Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Today was Dr. Seuss's birthday and we celebrated the whole day!

We started with our meeting at the Eagles Nest. Mr. Amerling read us, Yertle The Turtle.

Did I mention that there were 3 Things running around the school!? They were caught on camera!

Then those things found a few cats in hats...

When we got back into our classroom, I found some more cats in hats!

We focused a lot of attention on the book, Green Eggs and Ham, this morning. We read the book and then learned about the characters, setting, the problem and solution.

After lunch we had a member of the a Rotary Club come and read, Cat in the Hat, to us! She even gave us a bookmark and a pencil!

Lastly, we ate green eggs! We learned that we better try something before we say we don't like it, and I think we all liked these green eggs! Does you child remember what they were made out of?

We watched a movie version of, Green Eggs and Ham, while we ate our green eggs.

Last, but not least, take a look at our new bulletin board! We are going places!
