We have three new sight words and we have moved into learning long vowels! We are learning about the -ow combination this week.
We will be using the book, The Snowy Day, this week and will practice different comprehension strategies using this book.
Our poem this week is Mittens.
We started a new style of writers workshop! We have writing groups and we rotate to the different areas each day. We will get to publish a piece of our own writing almost every week!
Dushawn, Max, and Iain enjoyed the special project this week: create a sticker story!
Levi wrote in his new journal and was being a resourceful writer by finding the word he wanted to write on a calendar card.
Artist in Residence
We started our wetland bird drawings! We are drawing a barn owl. I was so impressed with the concentration we had. Next time we will add color!
