Chintimini Field Trip

Our last naturalist session was at Chintimini Wildlife Center. It was such a great way to end our time with naturalist. We were in two groups and while one group went on a nature walk in the wetlands, the other group got to see the birds that are rehabilitating.

The wetlands at Chintimini were beautiful!

We saw birds eating out of the bird feeders.

We found a snail!

And a millipede!

We saw a pretty red dragonfly near the pond!

We saw lots of newts! Those were a big hit!

Next we saw all of the cool birds that are in rehabilitation.

A Great Horned Owl!

Turkey Vultures

A barn owl like the ones we drew in artist in residence.

We also saw the mascot of our school, the Bald Eagle, Sparky! His friend was also there.

Finally, we saw a Red Tail Hawk.
